Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster Masterbuilt by Jason Smith
Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster Charcoal Frost master built by Jason Smith. The guitar is matte grey with matching headstock, and a purple stripped anodized pickguard and back plate.
Master builder Jason Smith built this and one another like it for the 2017 NAMM show. I reached out to him after buying the guitar: “I only made 2 of them, so it is a rare bird for sure. All the striping on the pickguard was masked off and done by hand,” he said.
The guitar is missing a couple of letters on the headstock to which Jason replied, “the decal is an adhesive decal stuck on top of the finish. The missing letters won't affect anything.”
The anodized pickguard with purple stripes really complements the grey finish and AA-flame maple neck. T
he neck on this guitar has the Eric Clapton "V" profile to it. The frets are vintage-sized, and easy to play. There are a trio of Josefina handwound '50s Strat pickups that make the guitar sing.
The guitar includes the original hardshell case, certificate of authenticity, trem arm, and various delectable case candy treats!
I will ship, but the cost is not included in the advertised price. Call for details. I will entertain offers and trade suggestions.
